YOJO Young Journalists Program in Greece (Relocation Support Available)

Applications Are Now Open for the YOJO Young Journalists Program 2026!

YOJO is looking for young people from around the world to join their Young Journalists Program starting in January 2026. This is a full-time, paid job based in Athens, Greece, and it lasts for 1 to 2 years. The program is open to undergraduate students, graduates, and final-year students from any country. You don’t need to speak Greek to apply. As a YOJO Reporter, you’ll help create powerful and creative stories, with a big focus on video journalism. The goal is to support the next generation of reporters who care about honest, impactful, and independent journalism. Only 20 people will be selected, and those chosen will move to Athens to start their work. Keep reading for more information on how to apply!

Duties of a YOJO Journalist

  • Real Reporting Experience: Report on events happening in Greece and around the world, as they happen.

  • Tell Important Stories: Work on meaningful topics like politics, investigations, world news, and conflict zones.

  • Focus on Video: Make digital news videos, including speaking on camera.

  • Try New Tools: Use cool tech like AR, VR, data journalism, and AI to tell stories in creative ways.

  • Skill Development: Master cutting-edge broadcast and media technology.
  • Strong Portfolio: Build a Strong Portfolio.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Open to all Nationals.
  • Education: You need to be a recent graduate (since October 2023) or a final-year student at the undergraduate or postgraduate level.
  • Language: You must be fluent in English.
  • Experience: No previous newsroom experience is necessary.
  • Relocation: You must be willing to relocate to Athens, Greece.
