Applications are now open for the University of Hong Kong (HKU) CDS Internship 2026. This fully-funded internship is open to students from any country. The internship will run for 7 weeks from 19 July to 31 August 2026. It aims to provide students from around the world with the opportunity to learn about HKU’s postgraduate research programme and work on a research project with a faculty supervisor. There is no application fee, and approximately 50 outstanding students will be selected for the HKU CDS Research Internship Programme 2026. More details are provided below.

Eligibility Criteria
- The Program is open to nationals of all over the world.
- Open to current Year 2 or Year 3 undergraduate students.
- Studying Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- From universities in Mainland China, Hong Kong, or other overseas countries.

Visa Information
Students admitted must apply for a training visa through the Hong Kong Immigration Department. They will also need a supporting letter from their home institution. This letter must confirm that the institution approves training at HKU and that the student will return to their studies after completing the training.
Candidates must ensure their institution can provide this letter before applying. Tourist visas are not acceptable. Please refer to the Guidebook for Entry for Training in Hong Kong.
