Two months of experience in South Korea – Applications are now open for the 2025 UNESCO Wonju Literature Residency. Applications are invited for the 2025 UNESCO Wonju Literature Residency, a fully funded opportunity taking place in Wonju, Gangwon, South Korea. The programme will run from September 1 to October 31, 2025. This international regional programme is organised by the Literary Delegation for the Privilege of Writers of UNESCO and the esteemed Literary Conference. Selected writers—approximately 16 out of 19—will be invited to live at the renowned Toji Cultural Centre, an inspiring environment for the arts. There is no application fee. Eligibility Criteria
- There are no mandatory requirements for residents during their stay.
- You will need at least B2 English proficiency to communicate during the residency.
- An independent panel of the Toji Cultural Center will select the resident.
- Successful applicants will be notified by July 30, 2025.
