Applications are now open for the Tokyo Biennale Social Dive 2025 – a fully funded international art event happening in Tokyo, Japan, from September to October 2025. Artists worldwide are invited to participate, explore the city, and connect with local communities through their art. The theme for 2025 is “Shall we ‘Sanpo’?” Sanpo means to walk, wander, and discover new things through movement. This program encourages artists to explore Tokyo’s neighborhoods, experience everyday life, and create art inspired by what they see and feel. There is no fee to apply for this golden chance, and all expenses are covered. Read on for more information on who can apply, what’s involved, and how to submit your application.
