Applications Are Now Open for the 2025 Taiwan NGO Fellowship!
If you work in the NGO sector, here’s a great chance to learn and grow. Taiwan is offering a fully funded fellowship program for NGO professionals from October 13 to November 7, 2025.
During this three-week program, you’ll visit Taiwan, gain hands-on experience, and see how NGOs operate there. The fellowship covers everything—your airfare, meals, accommodation, and even a daily allowance (per diem).
You don’t need to pay any application fee, and people from all backgrounds are welcome to apply. If you’ve got any experience working with an NGO, this could be a great opportunity for you.

Features of the Taiwan NGO Fellowship
- Fellows will be placed in Taiwan’s NGOs based on their professional backgrounds.
- Daily activities for fellows will include:

It starts with a 4-day workshop where you’ll learn about NGOs and what they do.

Fellows will also get to meet and share ideas with people who work at Taiwanese NGOs.

Eligibility Criteria
- NGO professionals from 25 to 40 years old.

Fellows can come from a variety of fields, such as community development, the environment, education, gender issues, human rights, media and IT, LGBTQ+ rights, healthcare, and social services.If you have a strong background in another area of NGO work, you’re also welcome to apply.
- Should have at least 3 years of work experience in the NGO sector.
- Should be from:
- Southeast Asia: Cambodia, Brunei, Malaysia, Laos, East Timor, Indonesia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam
- South Asia: Bangladesh, India, Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan
- Northeastern Asia: Japan, South Korea, Mongolia
- Pacific Island Region: Marshall Islands, Palau, Tuvalu
