Candidates can now apply for the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition 2025. This global writing competition offers certificates, prizes, and a fully funded one-week academic trip to London. There is no fee to apply. It is the world’s oldest writing competition and is open to residents of Commonwealth countries, Ireland, Hong Kong, and Zimbabwe. The winner and runners-up will be invited to the UK. London for a special awards ceremony at Buckingham Palace. The theme of the 2025 competition is “The Story of Our Commonwealth”. - The program was initiated by citizens and residents of Commonwealth countries and residents of Ireland, Hong Kong, and Zimbabwe.
- Age Requirements:
- Junior Category: May 16, 2005 and May 15, 2010 (Age 14-18)
- Senior Category: May 16, 2010 (Age under 14)
- Word Limit: Junior – 750 words, Senior – 1500 words.
