Applications are now open for the OIST Research Internship in Japan for Spring 2026.
This is a fully funded internship for international students, offered by the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST). There were internship lists from 3 to 6 months. It will take place from April 1 to September 30, 2026. Students from any country can apply. You can apply if you are currently studying for an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, or if you have already obtained an undergraduate degree. You don’t need to take an English test like IELTS or TOEFL to apply. During the internship, you will work with an OIST supervisor. Eligibility Criteria
- IELTS or TOEFL exams are not required.
- Students can be from any country. There are no restrictions on nationality.
- Applicants enrolled in an undergraduate degree program can apply.
- Applicants enrolled in a postgraduate degree program can apply.
- Applicants who have recently completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree can also apply.
