The Globalink Research Internship is a 12-week program held between May and October at prestigious Canadian universities with excellent research facilities. The program is open to undergraduate students and students enrolled in combined undergraduate and graduate programs. IELTS is not required for application. As this program is fully funded, most expenses are covered, making it an excellent opportunity for students seeking international research experience in Canada.

Eligible Countries, Universities, and Disciplines for the MITACS Globalink Research Internship
Eligible Countries: Austria, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Jordan, Mexico, Pakistan, Peru, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Tunisia, Ukraine, United Kingdom and the United States.
In addition, each country includes a list of eligible universities. If your university is listed, you are eligible. Check MITACS Eligibility.
Eligibility Criteria
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must meet the country-specific GPA requirements.
- You must have between one and three semesters remaining before Fall 2027. You can apply even without a valid passport.
- You must obtain a letter of recommendation from a university professor.
- You must submit an updated curriculum vitae.
- You must submit your academic transcripts (in English or French).
- You must submit a minimum of three and a maximum of ten projects, ensuring that the selected projects come from at least three different Canadian provinces.
