KWI International Fellowship in Germany 2027 | Funded

The KWI International Fellowship is designed for independent researchers from around the world. This German-funded program offers an excellent opportunity for researchers with disabilities in cultural studies, social sciences, and humanities. Through the International Fellowship program, researchers will have access to modern offices and comprehensive administrative services. They will also receive ongoing administrative and logistical support from the host institution. The fellowship lasts for six months.

The KWI Fellowship in Germany provides a monthly stipend of €3,000, which covers accommodation, insurance, and living expenses. Fellows also receive a portion of their travel expenses. Through the 2026 Research Fellowship program, fellows will participate in reading groups and other academic activities at KWI, as well as attend various seminars, conferences, and congresses.

KWI International Fellowships in Europe may also offer the opportunity to organize workshops and collaborate with researchers in a diverse academic environment. Researchers can pursue a variety of scientific projects, such as writing a book or publishing a special edition, developing a new research project, or forming a research team. However, a lack of German language skills can be an obstacle to obtaining a research grant, as the entire process is conducted in English.
