This is a fully funded PhD scholarship at Kochi University of Technology in Japan, open to students from all over the world. The goal of this program is to bring in talented researchers to help with advanced research at the university. It’s a 3-year doctoral program for students who are passionate about doing research. - High English proficiency.
- Applicants must have a Comparable Master’s degree (or expected).
- Age 35 or under at enrollment.
- The supervisor must agree to host the applicants; the supervisor’s permission is required.
- Strong academic record from reputable universities.
- Relevant research intention, knowledge, and skills.

Requirements of Completion
- Study for 3 years: You must be enrolled in the KUT PhD programme for at least three years.
- Earn course credits: You must complete at least 10 credits from doctoral courses.
- Pass exams: You must pass a basic exam (at least one year before your final defence) and successfully present your final thesis in a public defence.
- Publish research: You must publish at least one paper in a reputable research journal before your final defence. In special cases, other significant research achievements may count instead.
