What is this program all about?
Theme: Digital Soft Power and Cultural Diplomacy in the Age of Algorithms
Today, the world is more connected than ever through the internet and social media. The content we see online is often chosen by algorithms — computer programs that decide what shows up in our feeds.
Because of this, the way countries share their culture and build good relationships with others is changing. Instead of just using traditional methods, they now use digital tools to influence and connect with people around the world. This is called “soft power” — winning hearts through culture, ideas, and communication — and “cultural diplomacy” — using culture to build friendships between countries.
This International Youth Forum will bring together young leaders and experts to talk about how technology, culture, and global relationships are all linked — and how we can use these connections to create better understanding in today’s digital world.
