Applications are now open for the Humboldt Research Fellowship 2027. This is a fully funded fellowship for a period of 6 to 24 months. The Humboldt Research Fellowship is a popular program of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. It allows you to conduct research with a host researcher at a location of your choice in Germany. Applicants from all countries (except Germany) are eligible to apply. The application period will close after 800 applications have been received. Selected fellows receive a monthly stipend, a mentor, health insurance, travel expenses, family support, and living expenses.

Types of Humboldt Research Fellowship
This is a great opportunity for researchers to conduct their research at top German universities and receive guidance and mentoring from top German faculty.
- For Postdoctoral Researchers: This program is designed for researchers who have completed their PhDs within the last four years. Fellows can conduct research in Germany for 6 to 24 months.
- For Experienced Researchers: This program is open to researchers who are further along in their careers. Fellowships can last from 6 to 18 months and can be divided into up to three stays within three years.
