You can now apply for the ITU Generation Connect Young Leadership Program 2025 in Switzerland! This international program is fully sponsored by ITU and Huawei. Young people from around the world can apply, and selected individuals will have the chance to travel to Geneva, Switzerland, for a week-long global development program in July 2025. The program goal is to support and inspire young digital leaders and changemakers by helping them connect, learn, and grow. This program is for people who have creative ideas for digital projects to help their communities. ITU will provide the 30 selected candidates with hands-on training, learning sessions and financial support to help them develop their projects in different communities. The Program Covers:
- Global Development Week: in-person event in Geneva, Switzerland in July 2025 (ITU and Huawei will cover the costs).
- Virtual Mentorship and Training: Given by ITU and Huawei.
- Project Grants:
- Initial USD 5000 for all selected fellows.
- Additional USD 5000 for high-impact projects.
- Project Focus: Implement self-chosen digital development projects.

Eligibility Criteria
- The Program is open to all around the world.
- Age: Are you between 18 and 28 years old?
- Difference: Are you driven to lead digital projects that create positive change in your community?
Education: Do you have a background in STEM (Science, Engineering, Technology, Mathematics) from a university or similar institution, either currently or recently? - Language: English Speaking Skills required.

Timeline

- Shortlist Stage (May 2025): Shortlisted participants must submit a video, identification, and references within one week.
- Last Selection (June 2025): GCYLP Jury selects 30 fellows.
