The application period for the DAAD EPOS scholarship, which covers all expenses, for the 2027/28 academic year is now open. The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers this scholarship for Master’s, Master of Science, MBA, and PhD programs at German state-recognized universities, and, in exceptional cases, for doctoral programs.The EPOS scholarship in Germany is one of the largest and most sought-after scholarships for international students, attracting a high number of applicants each year. The next EPOS scholarship application period will begin in 2027. Upon completion of your studies in Germany, you will be able to apply for a job seeker visa or the German Opportunity Card.

Note:You can also apply for the DAAD EPOS program using your own funds. If you are not awarded an EPOS grant, you can apply for it using your own funds.

Eligibility Criteria 

  • Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree (generally a four-year program) in a relevant field.
  • Applicants must have at least two years of professional experience.
  • Applicants must provide a statement of their motivation for applying for the scholarship.
  • Applicants from the following countries are eligible to apply.
  • Please check the list of eligible countries.
  • The minimum score required on the IELTS exam is 6. You can also check with the institution you are applying to see if they require proof of English proficiency.

Write these documents and upload or send them along with the DAAD EPOS scholarship application form.

  • One Letter of Motivation
  • Completed and signed the checklist
  • A curriculum vitae (Europass CV format)
  • Copies of your higher education degree certificates
  • Copy of your full set of transcripts of records.
