UNESCO World Heritage Young Professionals Forum in Paris (Fully Funded)

Applications are now being accepted for the UNESCO World Heritage Young Professionals Forum 2025, which will take place in Paris, France. This event will coincide with the 47th session of the World Heritage Committee and will occur from July 1 to 8, 2025, at UNESCO Headquarters. The Forum invites participation from eligible young professionals worldwide, providing an inclusive platform for engagement regardless of geographic origin. Notably, there is no application fee for the program. All associated costs—including international travel, accommodation, meals, visa procurement, and local transportation—will be fully covered by UNESCO.

This initiative aims to foster global dialogue, professional development, and active engagement in heritage conservation among emerging practitioners in the field. The UNESCO World Heritage Young Professionals Forum aims to educate young professionals about the protection, preservation, and promotion of natural and cultural heritage. The forum will focus on using new and emerging technologies to do this. UNESCO will choose around 25 young professionals from different countries and backgrounds to take part. Theme of the Forum

  • World Heritage in an Interconnected World: Using Digital Tools and New Ideas.
  • Young professionals at the forum will explore how to protect and share important World Heritage sites in today’s rapidly changing, connected world.
  • They will learn how modern technologies—such as AI, virtual reality, digital maps, and drones—can help protect these special places and help more people learn about them.
  • They will also talk about new, creative ways to care for these sites so that future generations can enjoy them.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Open to all Nationals.
  • Age: You should be between 23 and 32 years old (born between June 30, 1993, and June 30, 2002).
  • Background: You should have experience or be studying something related to heritage, like architecture, archaeology, conservation, restoration, urban planning, art history, or similar fields.
  • Tech Skills: You should know how to use digital tools or technology that can help protect World Heritage sites.
  • Motivation: You should be passionate and ready to put what you learn at the Forum into action in your home country.
  • Community Involvement: You should care about involving local communities in looking after World Heritage sites.
  • Availability: You must be free to attend the full Forum from start to finish.
  • Language: You should be able to speak and understand English or French, since the Forum will be held in these languages.
