This esteemed program, the EUI Policy Leader Fellowship (PLF), is a fully funded leadership start offered by the renowned European University Institute (EUI). The fellowship spans five to ten months and is meticulously designed to foster leadership skills and mental growth.
This great program welcomes applications from individuals across various policy-related disciplines. These fields include but are not limited to, politics, public administration, civil service, media, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and various other domains dedicated to public service and policy change. Members will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a transformative experience that advances their professional course and contributes significantly to global policy discourse.
The EUI Leaders Fellowship is designed to bring together people from different countries with practical policy-making experience. Each year, the program chooses about 20-25 members from all over the world. You don’t need to provide proof of an English language test to apply. Fellowship Dates and Duration
Five or Ten Months. Students should point out their preference from the following options:
- 5 Months: September 2025 – January 2026 or February 2026 – June 2026
- 10 Months: September 2025 – June 2026

Financial Benefits
- Monthly Stipend: Fellows get a monthly payment of €2,500 to help with living costs.
- Household Allowance: A monthly payment of €300 is given to help with extra household expenses.
- Child Allowance: An extra €200 per month is provided for each dependent child.
- Travel Allowance: Fellows can receive up to €1,200 to pay for travel costs, including first-class train tickets and economy-class flights.
Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: The EUI Leadership Program in Italy is open to all states. EU citizenship is not required.
- Degree Level: A Bachelor’s degree is required. A Ph.D. degree is not required.
- Age: There is no age limit.
- Mid-Career Professionals: Members should be mid-career professionals with at least ten years of work experience.
- Policy-Relevant Themes: Applicants whose work tackles important policy issues related to the STG’s focus areas will be given priority.
