The DESY Summer Student Program 2025 in Germany lasts 8 weeks, from mid-July to September. Selected candidates will get to work on research projects at DESY, a popular lab in Hamburg known for high-energy particle physics and accelerator studies. This program gives students practical experience, helps them understand physics better, and lets them contribute to real research. Projects may involve working with detectors or equipment, analyzing physics data, developing software, exploring theoretical ideas, or doing scientific computing.
This fully funded program is for bachelor’s and master’s students. Each year, up to 100 students worldwide spend 8 weeks gaining hands-on research experience at DESY, an international lab. The program runs from July 22 to September 11, 2025. No application fee or IELTS is needed. Candidates will work on physics, computing, or engineering projects at DESY labs in Hamburg or Zeuthen (near Berlin). It’s one of the best fully funded internships in Germany. Eligibility Criteria
Who can apply: Final-year undergraduate students or first-year Master’s students by summer 2025.
Field of study: You must have finished at least 3 years of undergraduate studies in physics, a related science, or computing.
Master’s degree: If you have already completed a Master’s degree or will finish one by summer 2025, So you cannot apply.
Eligibility: Master’s students can apply, but you must not have joined a DESY summer program before.
